Bimbimbie
“Place of Many Birds”
Sitting on the banks of the Broken River in the lands of the Yorta Yorta nation you will find Bimbimbie, we are a 10 acre hobby farm with an abundance of natural landscapes, flora and fauna.

Century old Gum Trees
In our special corner of the world we find ourselves surrounded by century old gumtrees, these towering giants provide endless possibilities for our native wildlife including hollows full of bee hives, bird nests, possums and habitat for micro bat colonies.

Dareterkornong
The Broken River is our back yard, our weekly river kindy program will see the children exploring this natural resource. Our river brings an abundance of wildlife including a resident platypus, echidnas, deer, kangaroos, swamp wallabies, frogs, fish, turtles and an abundance of bird life. Children will be encouraged to explore, discover and ‘be’ in an authentic and unhurried way.

Permaculture
With a full fruit orchard and an abundance of vegetable gardens on site, the children will be engaged within the permaculture principles to care for the land around us. The children will be hands on every step of the way from sowing the seeds, nurturing them through daily routines, harvesting and even using them in a variety of cooking experiences, creating healthy meals for ourselves and our families.
"The heart of the Waldorf method is that education in an art-it must speak to the child’s experience. To educate the whole child, his heart and his will must be reached, as well as mind."
Rudolf Steiner

Farm Life
With a variety of animals already sharing our space and more in the pipeline the children will be hands on, caring for them, meeting their needs and collecting eggs as part of the daily routine.
The children will be hands on with composting, exploring the surrounding gardens developing a sense of responsibility, life skills, environmental awareness fostering a deeper appreciation for where food comes from and build resilience
